U.S. Mormon Battalion Trail ~ Salt Lake Cutoff

Known as the site of Udy Hot Springs

This was an emigrant road from California to Salt Lake City, Utah. Members of the U.S. Mormon Battalion after being discharged from the U.S. Army traveled this route to Salt Lake City. The first group over this trail arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah Sept. 28, 1848.
