Built in 1985, Fire Station 13 is located at the intersection of King Edward Avenue and Laurier Ave in downtown Ottawa (East). It is part of District 1. Pre-amalgamtion (2001) this station was known at Ottawa Fire Department #3.

Like most North American fire departments, the Ottawa Fire Service is organized in a paramilitary fashion. The current Chief of the department is John deHooge.
