This Bailey Bridge has clearly replaced another, earlier, bridge because the 1894 Ordnance Survey map shows Ford Green Bridge, and the Bailey bridge is obviously not that old. However, I've been unable to find out when it was replaced. There are World War Two pillbox defences along the North bank of this stretch of the Medway, so it is possible that the current Bailey bridge was constructed at this time.
The bridge does not carry a metalled road, and looks to be only used by agricultural vehicles and pedestrians. The Wealdway long distance footpath crosses the Medway here
According to the Environment Agency Medway Navigation Bridge Profiles (PDF link here) it has a span of 10m, and is 3.2m clear of the water
No parking co-ordinates are supplied. The nearest parking is probably in Golden Green village 1km to the North
