There are two granite markers within the Confederate veterans section. One states that the Martha Reid Chapter #19 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy established the burial plots on January 16, 1897 for Confederate veterans. The other marker states that that the section is "Dedicated to All Confederate Veterans by Alexander H. Stephens, Chapter, U.D.C. There are 18 Confederate graves within this small Veterans section.
