It is a licensed club with annual membership fees that are a nominal amount - $3 per year. You do not have to compete in yacht or sail boat races to be a member so in that respect it is open to the public.

It has an extensive sailing calendar including wind surfers, trailable yachts, Sabots, Skyriders, Juniors & Flying Ants, Open Class & 16' Skiffs. Competition races are held on Saturday & Sundays. Trailable yachts also race at night.

When I visited today there were 16' skiffs on the grassed area in front of the club house being prepared to race. In the far distance sail boats could be seen competing. The smaller boats can be launched from the grassed area & there is a boat ramp for the trailable yachts.
