The French Revolution (French: Révolution française) was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France from 1789 to 1799 that had a fundamental impact on French history and on modern history worldwide.
On the outside wall of the Corn Exchange, a reproduction of Delacroix painting was done by a local artist, Louis Chauffour, in 1989, for the bicentenary of the French Revolution.
Inside and outside, several dates mark the centenary and Bicentennial celebrations of the French Revolution.
La Révolution française est un moment crucial de l'histoire de France, puisqu'elle marque la fin de l'Ancien Régime, et le remplacement de la monarchie absolue française par une monarchie constitutionnelle, puis par la Première République.
Sur le mur extérieur de la halle au blé, une reproduction du tableau de Delacroix a été réalisée par un artiste local, Louis Chauffour, en 1989, pour le bicentenaire de la révolution français.
