In Marseilles, east of the city center, is the Marseilles Methodist Church.
The church is located on Church Street, about a block south from U.S. Route 6/Bluff Street.
The church is an L-shaped structure made of brick, with a shingled peaked roof. At the inside corner of the 'L' is a tower with an open belfry and a short white spire topped by a cross. An entrance is at one end close to the street and through the tower.
Not much historical information could be found about the church. One web site about the history of Marseilles stated that by 1860 there was a Methodist church as well as other churches. This building was likely not that old. No cornerstone could be found, however.
