Of the thousands of hitching posts that once lined the streets of Victoria in the 1800s and the early 1900s, only three remain. This one, the only remaining post made of concrete, stands on the side of Linden Avenue. It's a simple slightly-tapered concrete post with an iron hook and ring set in the road-side of the post. Considering that this post is likely about a century old, the hook and ring are in remarkably good shape.
