Near Marseilles, on top of the bluff, is the Riverview Cemetery, where this grave marker for Emma L. McCormack is found.

The marker is located near the rear of the cemetery, down the slope from Cemetery/Corn Road.

The marker is made of granite, and is a few inches in height. Text on the face is as follows:

"Mother
Emma L. McCormack
Jan. 5, 1892
Feb. 7, 1992"

The name is listed on ancestry.com, but not much new information is provided on this page (the name is spelled wrong on the site). I could not find any other information about this person on the Internet.

The following events happened in her birth and death years:

1892

January 1 - Ellis Island in New York starts taking in immigrants.
January 20 - The first basketball game is played at a YMCA facility in Springfield, MA.
October 1 - The University of Chicago holds its first classes.

1992
January 2 - USSR President Boris Yeltsin ends price controls, effectively ending the command economy there. In February, US President George H.W. Bush and USSR President Yeltsin will meet and declare the cold war to be over between the two countries.
February 23 - The Winter Olympics start in Albertville, France.
November 3 - William Clinton is elected to become the next US President.
