Connie Prekeges, a driving force behind the Greek exhibit at the Children's Museum of Spokane, was born in Delta, Colorado, in 1933 and passed away July 30, 2003 after a short battle with cancer. She was 69. A hard working, outgoing dynamo who loved to cook, she routinely gave dinner parties for groups of 50 and more. Read a short

A foundation in Connie's name has been organized, the primary aim of which is to help children suffering from cancer to "Just be children again".
The memorial sign contains the words: "IN LOVING MEMORY OF CONNIE PREKEGES" on the base of the church's informational sign. It is along North Washington Street in front of the church. The church itself is somewhat of a work of art, well worth stopping by to see. It can be found at:
