This church was built in 1883 as the Dominionville Presbyterian Church. As Maxville became the dominant centre after the coming of the railway, attendance dwindled, and in 1902, the Baptist community bought the building and moved it to Maxville. There it was renovated with a brick exterior as the Maxville Baptist Church. That congregation declined over the years and in the late 1950s, the Baptists agreed to sell the church to the Anglican congregation.
Bishop Ernest Reed dedicated the Church on October 28,1959.
