This rotary pump is over a capped well at the former farm on Trundle Brow and can be seen from the public bridleway. The flywheel still has the handle for human operation.

The two pipes on which the rotary pump stands, contained a chain of small disks which scooped up water to raise the water to the farm yard. The casing has a maker's name of APPLEBY & Co. More on maker at (visit link)
There is another chain water pump at Waterson Ground, Outgate. (visit link)

Park on Brow Edge road. Walk to bridleway which runs along Trundle Brow lane. Walk down bridleway to pump on wall.
