Very large bust of George Washington. He is wearing a jacket with a tall collar. He is wearing a shirt with a ruffled collar. His head is turned slightly to his right. His hair is pulled back from his face. The bronze bust is on a large square granite pedestal. The base is inscribed with the university's name and date of founding. The bust is by sculptor Avard Fairbanks and was copyrighted in 1975.
