From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 9.4 miles to the intersection with FR14. Turn right on FR14 and continue 8.3 miles to the junction with FR1400-400. Turn left on FR1400-400 and continue generally WNW for 0.5 miles to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 1-1/2" aluminum cap on #5 steel rod; rising 2"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is about 790' S from FR1400-400, at a barbed wire reentrant fence corner anchored by a rock crib. There is an ATTENTION sign mounted on a T-post and two Carsonite posts with PROPERTY BOUNDARY decals. Found a ponderosa pine with a partly healed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and an ATTENTION sign on the backside. Also, in the NE quadrant there is a large stump with a scribed blaze and the same metal signs. Found a reference monument from which the true corner bears N16°W, 18.7' distant; see photographs.

The land NE of the corner is Deschutes National Forest, else House on Metolius property.
