It is called woodpecker as it makes its nest in a hole he dug in the woods. With his beak he digs the bark of trees to eat grubs and larvae dig tunnels. You can hear the sound it makes hitting the bark of its strong beak.
The peak is an agile climber and do not be afraid to approach the trees near houses, orchards, gardens and parks.
He is a tireless driller.
We know the Green Woodpecker, the Red-headed Woodpecker, Woodpecker Minor, the Black-backed Woodpecker, Northern Flicker and Black-backed Woodpecker. All are of the same family. Colors, white, black and red make a beautiful bird.
