Round Lake is not large by Adirondack standards, being only three miles long, however it is adjacent to Little Tupper Lake and that brings Rock Pond into play; or if the Round Lake Stream on the north end is navigable (in Spring or after an extended rain), it makes for a great jumping off point for trips northward to The Bog River or (big) Tupper Lake. Or you can make Round Lake itself your destination and spend a day paddling it, or a weekend camping there.
Round Lake has 11 designated campsites and the only facilities are fire rings and pit toilets. Some of the campsites are the former sites of old cabins that once surrounded the lake and are not very appealing, however many of the sites are quite nice.
The largemouth bass and trout fisheries are excellent on Round Lake, so if you are an angler be sure to bring your pole and license.
Because it's a wilderness area no motors are allowed.
