The council sign identifies what part of Black Head Reserve is a designated dog off leash area but basically it is the area bounded by Headland Drive, Stafford St & the cliffs along the seashore. There are two access points with parking at each. The off leash area is quite extensive & there are good views of the rugged coastline to keep everyone entertained.

A thoughtful dog owner has provided a water basin beside a dripping tap. The area along the cliff lines has been left unmowed as a deterrent to dogs & children getting too close.
