This is a very busy ferry terminal as the main entry and exit on the island of Koh Tao in the Gulf of Thailand. High speed ctamarans, fishing boats, and other pleasure craft call here.

Like most place here, the terminal building is basically open air with a collection of shops and eating places around it, and outside waiting areas. The parking area is crowded, and traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian is congested, and still in that relaxed island atmosphere that everyone comes here for.
There is a concrete arch over the entrance to the pier welcoming visitors and wishing them bon voyage upon their departure. Of course, a great deal of freight comes into the terminal area because, after all, this is an island.
