This sculpture is an enlarged copy of one the Smithsonian has in its collection. The sculpture is of Xochipilli, the Aztec god of flowers sitting with crossed legs on a pedestal at the west end of the fountain. Is arms rest on its knees and its head raised as if looking toward the sky. Xochipilli is adorned with a necklace made with ceramic shells and with wrist and arm bracelets. He is wearing a feathered headdress. He has large circular ornaments at his ears.
