Maly Rozsutec (1,343.5m / 4,406ft ASL) is big dolomite rock that dominates 750 metres above Biely potok (White stream) valley, although from several views often in shade of its bigger neighbouring brother Velky Rozsutec.
It is situated in the northern part of Lesser Fatra (Krivanska Mala Fatra) mountain range in the Zilina Region, Slovakia.
Maly Rozsutec together with Velky Rozsutec, is home to many endangered species of plants and animals, some of which are endemic, as well as rare karst terrain with dolomite rocky towers.
The summit of Maly Rozsutec belongs to the Mala Fatra National Park and Rozsutec National Nature Reserve (since 1967).
Trails:
Peak is situated at the end of main mountain ridge, accessible all-year round by marked hiking trails from three sides:
- green trail from village of Terchova, Biely Potok (4.7km, 788m up, 2h 20mins)
- red trail from village of Zazriva, Petrova (4.2km, 748m up, 2h 20mins)
- most interesting blue trail via 3 wild canyons called "Diery" from Biely Potok (6.9km, 808m up, 2h 50mins)
Best base for your hiking trips in this area is village of Terchova with many good places to accomodate and refresh.
Maly Rozsutec (1,343.5m.n.m) je vyrazna dolomitova skala v severnej casti Krivanskej Malej Fatry, zakoncujuca jej hlavny hreben.
Je charakteristicky skalnym cimburim a strmymi vapencovymi stenami dominuje udoliu Bieleho potoka, ktore prevysuje o takmer 750 metrov.
Z vrcholu je vyhlad na susedny vyssí Velky Rozsutec a do severnych strani vychodnej casti masivu.
Jeho vrchol patri do Narodneho Parku Mala Fatra ako aj do maloplosnej chranenej oblasti - Narodna Prirodna Rezervacia Rozsutec.
Pristup:
Vyborny vyhliadkovy vrchol je pristupny tromi znacenymi turistickymi chodnikmi, na jeho dosiahnutie nie je potrebna ziadna specialna vybava. Treba vsak pocitat s jednym terenne narocnym usekom, kde su instalovane retaze na jeho prekonanie.
Vystup v zime moze byt nebezpecny kvoli zaladneniu a snehovym previsom.

Najlepsim vychodiskom na turistiku v severnej casti Malej Fatry je malebna obec Terchova s mnozstvom ubytovacich a stravovacich zariadeni a potrebnou infrastrukturou.
Inou alternativou je 2-dnova hrebenovku s noclahom na chate pod Chlebom.
