This streetcar, built by Brill in 1918, was one of 69 lightweight units that could be operated by a single person. It incorporated a number of safety features earning it the sobriquet of 'Birney Safety Car'. It went on to become a movie star (or at least a prop) in classics like "Singin' in the Rain.
