L'édifice du palais de justice de Granby s'appelle édifice Roger-Paré. Ce nom, proposé à la Société immobilière du Québec par un groupe de citoyens de la circonscription électorale de Shefford, rappelle le souvenir de Roger Paré (1947-1995) qui fut notamment député du Parti québécois de 1981 à 1985 et de 1985 à 1994. Il avait été auparavant le président-fondateur du Syndicat national des employés de bureau de la coopérative agricole de Granby.
On peut admirer sur sa façade est une magnifique murale de verre et d'acier créée en 1979 par l'artiste Marcelle Ferron.
The building of this courthouse in Granby is called the Roger Paré building. This name, proposed to the Société immobilière du Québec by a group of citizens from the electoral district of Shefford, commemorates Roger Paré (1947-1995) who was especially member of the Parti Québécois from 1981 to 1985 and from 1985 to 1994. He was previously the founder and president of the National Union of office workers of the agricultural cooperative of Granby.
You can admire on the east facade a magnificent wall of glass and steel created in 1979 by artist Marcelle Ferron.
