The CCC was very active building parks in Texas that continue to serve the recreation needs of families all these decades later. The CCC built 29 parks in Texas, including Big Spring State Park near Big Spring TX.
The CCC built the loop road through the park (PR 8), and also constructed several picnic shelters, ranger housing, stone walls, and the main offices that still serve the needs of the users and operators today.
The coordinates are for the entrance to the park. The CCC structures are found along Park Road 8, the loop road built by the CCC in 1934.
