In a small memorial park on Main Street, a veterans memorial has been placed, honoring those who served from the Minco area. At the base of the main flagpole, a granite monument has been placed which pre-dates this veterans memorial.
This pink granite stone dates from 1945, a few months after the end of World War II. It is weathered and difficult to read. It was placed by M.H.S. (Minco High School). The engraving reads:
