This sculpture is probably intended to represent Mary and Jesus since it is at Mission San Luis Rey but the plaque does not indicate that. It is sadly set in a nook in a corner of the Mission's cemetery which seems to be dedicated to infants.
The work depicts a waving woman wearing a mantle and holding a standing infant with outstretched arms.
The plaque reads:
"In loving memory of
Dr. and Mrs. Louis T. Moore
& Dr. Anthony P. Moore
Sculpted by Mary Rosalie Moore"
