This weathervane is on the upper floor deck fastened to the railing and out over the Columbia River at the Baked Alaska Restaurant and Lounge. The building housing this restaurant is built out over the Columbia on a timber pier, it's thirteen bays wide and two storeys high with an attic behind the central pediment, upon which is the sign, and there are two decks cantilevered out over the river at the northern end.

This restaurant has been recently re-modelled but seems to be unable to cope with large groups (over six). It is open 7 days a week for Lunch and Dinner, 11am to 10pm and specialises in 'wild' food.

The wind vane is the model of a salmon, about 70cm long, fabricated from sheet metal. It has seen better days, the mouth parts are distorted. The cardinal points are missing the 'W'. The mount is completed by a ball at the top of the pole just under the cardinals. It's about 70cm high.

Would have given it a higher rating if there had been no damage.
