This is a try for a tour to several public sclptures and artworks located in the park 'Stadtgarten' in the center of Stuttgart, Germany, Baden-Württemberg.
This is a small work to some nice sculptures and artworks in the Stadtgarten. The walk will take about 20-30 minutes. Each artwork can be waymarked seperatly at waymarking.com.
Starting:
At the entrance to the park 'Stadtgarten'. Here's an information sign about the park.
Stop 1 ==> Kubische Integration: (N 48° 46.864 E 009° 10.504)
At the first sop you can find an abstract sculture called 'Kubische Integration' by Hans Dieter Bohnet. The sculpture is made of Cor-ten V2a Steel. It was created in 1956 by Hans Dieter Bohnet. The height of the sculpture is about 2.5 meters.
Stop 2 ==> Elevazione: (N 48° 46.854 E 009° 10.480)
At stop two stands an abstract sculpture named 'Elevazione'. It was created by Friedrich Reinhard Brüderlin. It's made of bronze. The height of the sculpture is about 4 meters.
Stop 3 ==> 12 Kanten: (N 48° 46.859 E 009° 10.437)
This abstract public sculpture is called '12 Kanten' (12 Edges). It was created by Christoph Freimann in 1977. It exists of 12 iron parts laying down on the ground.
Stop 3 ==> Stahlskulptur: (N 48° 46.835 E 009° 10.397)
This is an abstract sculpture which is located in front of the main entrance to Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart (University of Apllied Sciences Stuttgart). The sculpture was created by Klaus Wagner in 2004. It was donated by Walter Sorg. The sculpture is called 'Stahlskulptur'.
Stop 4 ==> Der Schritt ins Freie: (N 48° 46.863 E 009° 10.394)
The sculpture was created by Christa Roesner-Drenhaus in 1985. It's called 'Der Schritt ins Freie' (Step into the Freedom). It is made of steel and color.
Stop 5 ==> Positiv - Negativ: (N 48° 46.874 E 009° 10.395)
At stop five is a silhouette art sculpture located which is called 'Positiv - Negativ'. It was created by Wolfgang Nestler in 1977. It is made of rusty steel. It's dimensions are 200 x 200 x 3 cm. Established within the Federal Garden Show. Especially scientific laws Nestler deal in the 1970s. This work shows even a square, a triangle and a circle with the same circumference, and once with the same surface area.
Stop 6 ==> Aggression I: (N 48° 46.892 E 009° 10.312)
The sculpture at stop 6 is called 'Agression I'. It was created by Hans Uhlmann in 1961.
It's located in front of the main entrance to the University's library. The height of the sculpture is about 4.50 meters.
