The lookout is about 100 metres from the picnic area along a sealed pathway. Access to the picnic area is well sign posted from either Bowral or Mittagong. Mt.Gibraltar is the dominant peak in the area & this lookout the best known.
There are picnic tables, undercover benches, BBQs, parking & toilets in the picnic area which was established in the 1930s.
