Erected in 1967, this cairn, recognizes the sacrifice of those who died in World War I, is found in front of Branch 172 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Cremona, Alberta.

The land for this Legion was donated by A.F.(Bob) Simpson in 1947. Shortly thereafter the building was constructed.

The text on the plaque states:
"

Dedictated to those men
and women of the Canadian
and all allied forces who
served their country
in peace and war

paid the supreme
sacrifice
we will remember them
