The Foursquare Church's sign is mounted on 20 foot tall basalt columns. One sees basalt columns in the landscaping quite often in Spokane, but seldom are they 20 feet plus in height. Seldom, too, are church parking lots made to hold 1,000 cars. Everything about this church says mega.
On entering the church one of the first things one will notice, other than its sheer size, is that they have not a sanctuary, but an auditorium. In the common area is a coffee bar with seating for having a chat or a small get together and a play area for the kids.
The church has no formal membership but estimates that 7,000 to 8,000 people in the Spokane area would consider Life Center their church. Sunday service attendance has grown from 3,372 in
May 2008 to 4,128 in May 2010, and in May 2012 is at 4,076...
...The 2012 Easter service had 8,454 adults and 1,440 children
participate in the services.
