The lookout is situated on a cliff which projects into the ocean below Flagstaff Hill lighthouse. It is adjacent to a walk called The Blue Mile which runs in a circular direction starting near the entertainment centre in Wollongong, passing along City Beach, up Flagstaff Hill & then returns via boat harbour & parklands. Alternatively you can park below the lighthouse & walk down to the lookout.
You should really try to get here before 11am especially in the warmer months as a stiff nor-easter springs up affecting visibility & comfort.
