Willy Brandt was born on 18 December 1913 in Lübeck.
He was the major of Berlin.
1969–1974 he was German Bundeskanzler.
He died in 1992.

Willy Brandt revieved the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1971 for his peace politics with the East. He tried to establish peace and friendship between the former enemies of the West and the East.


There's not only the street sign with only the name of the laureat. But there's an addition sign under it with some facts aout Willy Brandt. It indicates him as German Bundeskanzler from 1969-74 and as a Nobel Laureat for Peace (German: Friedensnobelpreis) in 1971.
