The helipad is paved and surrounded by a lighted security fence and gate. A large white cross with a red "H" in the middle, as well as two white circles around the cross, are painted on the asphalt surface. The public does not have access to the helipad but anyone can see the helipad and the helicopters that land on it given its location next to a very busy street. The tranfer of patients from the helicopter to the hospital is made by ambulance.
