The old one-room country school and the cemetery next to it are named Ruddick, whilst the church connected with the cemetery is called Reddick Assembly of God. It is possible, but too improbable, that both a Ruddick and a Reddick family settled in the same area. The oldest Reddick grave (apart from 2 undated infant graves) is from 1941, whilst the oldest Ruddick grave is from 1869, when the cemetery was started. It is likely that someone in the family changed their name, thus starting a separately named family tree.
The outhouse is in perfect condition. I've rarely seen better. But it is the original old one-seater. There is no his and hers here, just this one outhouse. The outhouse is made from native eastern red cedar, which grows like weeds in this part of the Ozarks. The choice of cedar explains why the outhouse shows so little weather damage.
