The memorial has a relief an angel taking a man as he let go by another man. A woman is seen with her head down and mourning his loss. Below the relief is the following inscription:
In Memory
Of The Heroic Dead
Of Loudoun County
Who Gave Their Lives
For Their Country In
The Second World War
And In Korea
Their Name Liveth For Evermore
On the back side of the memorial is a list of names of those who lost their lives in each war.
