The Museum of the Horse Soldier continually has over 2,000 objects on display. Displays are periodically changed, allowing visitors to see different items from our larger collection.

What is in the collection:
From equipment used by the United States Dragoons of the Antebellum Era to gear employed by men and women in current U.S. mounted operations; the Museum of the Horse Soldier’s collection consists of more than 10,000 objects. Museum items include uniforms, saddles, equipment, weaponry, flags, insignia, awards, and personal effects, used by U.S. horse soldiers over the past 200 years. The depth of our collection reflects a wide range of subjects relating to the U.S. military’s mounted history and additional social and technical sciences.
