This fire department is located in Caycuse, previously known as Camp 6, near the western end of Cowichan Lake. Caycuse was originally a logging camp formed in the 1920s. At one time more than 400 people lived in Caycuse, but now there are only a few dozen living there permanently. Caycuse, including the fire hall, is on private land owned by TimberWest, and the fire hall doesn't have a street address.
