Metal sculpture of a "doughboy" from World War I was crafted by Ken Nyberg. Ken, a regional metal artist, has created many wonderful, life-like, realistic and whimsical statues that are on display in many local communities. Many of his sculptures are made with bits of scrap metal.
This statue is a memorial to World War I but the plaque honors all veterans.
