This boat ramp is just below the Box Canyon Dam on the Pend Oreille River in northeast Washington State.

Though the Pend Oreille is a pretty big river and has a mighty flow in the spring, it doesn't flow terribly fast here because further downstream is the City of Spokane's Boundary Hydroelectric Dam, which tends to make this stretch of river more a lake than a dam. As a result, a lot of boaters and fisherpersons avail themselves of this ramp. AAMOF, the google satellite shot shows the ramp being used by a boater about to launch (or go home).
