This bell is found at the building which was used as a school and church for many years, from 1861 until the schools consolidated just before its 100th year. After that, the building was allowed to get pretty run down, as seen in the photo in
this rootsweb page. The bell is small, as would be expected at a school ("Recess is over, children!"), rather than the larger bells used to call the country folks to service at a church.
