According to FindAGrave, New Salem Cemetery has over 500 graves at the time of this waymark posting. Although there were many graves without dates, the earliest recorded grave is from 1863. The church is still active and has a sign out in front advertising the service times. The coordinates were taken at the gate closest to the church, rather than the fancier gate at the south end.
