The sign hangs from the pub's wall and appears to have been changed quite recently. There is a black band across the top of the sign that carries the pub's name. A similar band runs along the bottom of the sign that carries the name of the brewery "Brakspear".
The centre three quarters of the board carries the image of an owl and a pussycat in a pea-green boat. In the front of the boat are some jars that, one supposes, contain honey. The owl has a wing around the pussycat and the cat has a paw draped over the owl's shoulder. The sky is clear with starts being visible as well as a full moon that illuminates the scene. There is no sign of a £5 note nor the small guitar!
