Juniper Lake is located about 11 miles ESE of Lassen Peak and about 11 miles NNW of Chester, California. The lake occupies a glaciated basin at the north base of Mount Harkness in the southeast part of Lassen Volcanic National Park. The lake has a surface elevation of about 6750 feet and has an outlet stream at the southernmost point.
