The Merry-Go-Round.

Below you in the Palace of Fun Arts, take a look at one of the most beautiful and elaborate double-decker carousels in the world.

Or, even better, take a ride on it.

Which is is more or less what happened to us. It seems that the best carousels are built by a group of Old World craftsmen in Venice, Italy. So to save a lot of money, we contacted the Italian craftsmen directly and gave them the order.

Fourteen months later, when the Carousel came, it was even more beautiful than expected. There was only one slight problem. Since we forgot to tell the Italian craftsmen to use UL wiring, they wired it according to Italian standards.

In came a big union crew to rewire the entire carousel with UL material. By the time they'd finished, the new merry-go-round cost more than twice as much as planned.

In other words, the Carousel wasn't even operating and it had already taken us for a very dizzying ride.
