Summers School - Klamath Falls, OR - Former Schools on Waymarking.com

Driving along Summers Lane, one might spot this red-brick building, along with another wooden building that was once home to Summers School. I've lived in Klamath my whole life and amazingly, I know nothing about this former school. I DO know that it housed elementary schoolchildren but don't know if it also housed high school students. I also know that as long as I've been alive (43 years) this school has NOT been a school. There is very little online information on its history and I'm in the process of obtaining any info I can find from the local Klamath County Museum, although they are slow and I have to pay for it.

Currently, these two buildings are owned and maintained by the Klamath County School District. The brick and mortar building is now operating as the Physical Plant Operations maintenance facility. The wooden building looks to be used as storage. It's a little sad to see a once thriving school be relegated to storage and industrial use.
