Originally used as a junior high school in Brainerd, MN. the building is now known as the Franklin Arts Center (formerly Frankling Junior High School.)
The building is a mixed arts facitlity with work and living space for 25 artists of all mediums. There is nearly 38,000 square feet of studio space, display and retail areas.
The commericial wing of the building filled almost immediately. The residential portion of the building opened in 2008. Creative businesses also occupy some of the space. Lessons are also offered by many of the artists. All arts are featured from photography, painting, textile arts, dance and more.
