This headstone marks the grave of Elizabeth R. Choate, a 107-year old Nazarene minister. She was born in 1893, year which saw the World's Columbian Exhibition in Chicago, the building of the world's first movie studio by Thomas Edison, U.S. President Grover Cleveland inaugurated for a 2nd term, and the arrival of Commodore Perry in Japan. Her death in 2000 saw the beginning of Geocaching, the drama of the Elián González affair, a Cuban-born boy and resident of Florida who ultimately was returned to Cuba to live with his father, and a U.S. presidential election that took more than a month of recounts and court decisions to resolve (Bush v. Gore).
