Diyarbakir is a 850.000 inhabitants city, considered the unofficial capital of Turkish Kurdistan and an important transportation hub in the region. The bus station is a modern complex, recently built, and is operated by dozens of different bus companies.
Unfortunately it's far from the center and it's definitely necessary to deal with the city local transportation to get there.
