The parish church of San Ramon de Penyafort was erected in 1938. The bell tower was added in 1964 and has a square base with an octagonal lantern.

He wrote five books of Decretals which are now a valuable part of the Canon Law of the Church. The monarch’s licentious lifestyle not meeting with his approval, the saint decided, against the king’s will, to leave the island and return to Barcelona. Lacking royal authorisation and determined to leave Mallorca, he spread out his tunic in the form of a sail, tying his staff to one end of it to act as a mast and, miraculously, managed to cross the sea. This is why he is often depicted on the waves." link
