The final resting place of May Payne is at the far southwest corner of Hydro Masonic Cemetery. She has a large, upright marker that is shared with her spouse John.

1892: To mark the 400th anniversary Columbus Day holiday, the "Pledge of Allegiance" is first recited in unison by students in U.S. public schools.
1902: The Berlin U-Bahn underground is opened.
1912: Olympic Games open in Stockholm, Sweden.
1922: The historic Genoa Conference commences in Genoa. The representatives of 34 countries convene to speak about monetary economics in the wake of World War I.
1932: Buck Rogers in the 25th Century debuts on American radio. It is the first science fiction program on radio.
1942: On her 13th birthday, Anne Frank makes the first entry in her new diary.
1952: The American Research Bureau reports that the I Love Lucy episode, "The Marriage License" was the first TV show in history to be seen in around 10,000,000 homes the evening the episode aired.
